Who Within Me

I never thought myself anything more than me, but then I became a mother and everything changed. My world became 3 sets of eyes, my soul visible through every one of them, my future, my past and most importantly my present. They were the chains holding me to this place of pain, keeping me from losing the treads proving my existence.

But some days I think that the sweet Lord above made a grave mistake In entrusting me with such priceless blessings, because how can I be worthy of their unconditional love and not be there to receive It or have to fight an endless unnecessary battle to make sure they are everything I could never be.

The power of their smile, taking your every breath. The magnitude of the universe in their eyes, bounding you to this place and time. The majestic love of them being near you and the uncontrollable urge to love them.

That craving you have for this little person that would make you go beyond any limit you ever deemed the end. They make you boundless, limitless and endless.......
